The National Executive committee once again has had to make the very difficult and heartbreaking decision regarding the viability of the 2021 Inline Hockey National Championships due to be held in Logan, Queensland in September this year and have seen no option but to cancel the Nationals.

President Duane Voss said, “It is the second year in a row that the National Executive Committee has had to make a tough decision, it certainly hasn’t been easy”.

The NEC has been going hard at the wall to make this work, we kept looking at all options, alternative dates, and locations.

“We have looked at all possible and alternate ways to make our National Championships happen, we certainly did not stop trying until we had exhausted all avenues said Duane.” “We initially announced this year's Nationals as we saw the light at the end of the tunnel. Once announced, we saw the hope and excitement in the conversations around the country amongst our members, it was this that kept us pushing towards our biggest goal."

The National Executive Committee will always act in the best interests of public health, and we have made this decision to cancel the 2021 Inline Hockey National Championships to protect our players, tournament staff, volunteers, and the broader hockey community. The Championships must be successful for all those involved with all states having the same opportunity to attend. Under the current guidelines and border restrictions, this is not possible.
