SkateNSW SkateStars Instructor Training Program & Artistic Development Level Coaching Accreditation 2022

SkateNSW will run pilot SkateStars Instructor Training Program in-conjunction with an Artistic Development Level Coaching Accreditation, hosted by Twin City Skate Club.

Sessions will be presented by Skate Australia Elite Level Coaches/World Skate Level 3 Artistic Teachers, Esther Ambrus & Gawaine Davis.

In addition, the Practical sessions will be available to invited Skate Stars/Development students to further improve their skills and learn some new things.

All coaches must register here in order to participate.

 

Student Coaches

Please register here (by 12:00pm Midday - Friday 19th August 2022), and pay the course fee by the 20th August 2022.

Cost:    

$100.00 - SkateStars Instructor Training Program (includes Level 0 - Coaching Principles Course and SkateStars - Level 0 & 1 (Practical training))

$125.00 - Development Course (includes Skate Australia administration, Sports Education registration and accreditation fees)

Any compulsory texts and other course costs such as presenter costs, facility hire and equipment are included.

Note you will only be able to register for this course once you have joined SkateNSW and received your login details.

 

Pre-requisites

Student Coaches have been invited based on their known skating ability / coaching experience, but must meet the following minimum pre-requisites:

  • SkateStars Instructor Training Program
    • Skate Australia Membership - CAT 4 Participation member of SkateNSW.
    • Experience - 1 year skating
    • Qualification - SkateStars Level 2 (or Equivalent Roller / Skate Sports qualification)
    • Age
      • 13-17 years old (must coach under supervision of an Accreditated Coach)
      • 18+ years old (may coach un-supervised with an Accredited Coach present)
    • Compliance - WWCC (if aged 18+ and Instructing Children)
      • Please send your WWCC letter on completion.
    • Prior Education - Orientation to Coaching (Level 0 - Coaching Principles Course) - included as part of the program

 

  • Artistic Development Level Coaching Accreditation
    • Skate Australia Membership - CAT 3 Development member of SkateNSW.
    • Experience - 3 Year Skating Experience or 2 Years Skating Experience plus 1 Year SkateStars Coaching Experience
    • Qualification - Completed Artistic Rising Stars Development Program (or Equivalent Artistic Development Program)
    • Age
      • 16-17 years old (may coach un-supervised with an Accredited Coach present)
      • 18+ years old (may coach un-supervised)
    • Compliance - WWCC (if aged 18+ and Instructing Children)
      • Please send your WWCC letter on completion.
    • Prior Education - Community Coaching Essential Skills Course (Community Coaching / Level 1 - Beginning Coaching General Principles)
