SkateNSW Artistic Coaching Accreditation 2022 - Her Sport, Her Way Workshop

The Her Sport, Her Way Sports initiative aims to empower women in sport. As such Skate NSW will run an Artistic Coaching Accreditation (Intermediate & Advanced Level) for Coaches as a way of furthering the contribution of women in Artistic Roller Skating.  

On Skates Practicals will be held as follows:

Saturday 29/10/2022 - Penrith Skatel
16:45 - 18:45 - Practical (Rink)

Sunday 30/10/2022 - Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium
10:00 - 14:00 - Practical (Basketball Courts)

Sessions will be presented by Student Coaches under the supervision of Skate Australia Elite Level Coaches/World Skate Level 3 Artistic Teachers, Esther Ambrus &/or Gawaine Davis

The Practical sessions will be available to invited Skate Stars/Development students to further improve their skills and learn some new things.

Other Coaches

Coaches that wish to attend for Education, but not participate in the Accreditation may register as a Coach (cost $20 per day).

Skaters

Different classes will be organised for both Rising Stars and Elementary/Championship Level. Skaters are encouraged to participate in all lessons appropriate to their level. If unsure, please seek advice from your coach regarding what classes you should attend.

Saturday

1 - Skater - Advanced Artistic Skating – Figures

Day/Time: 4:45pm - 6:45pm – Saturday 29th October 2022 - Penrith Skatel

Skaters: Elementary/Championship

Cost: $25

The session will cover the following modules:

- Development of Bracket turns

- Development of Counter turns

Sunday

2 - Skater - Development / Bronze Dance Skating – Compulsory Dance

Day/Time: 10:00am - 11:00am - Sunday 30th October 2022 - Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium

Skaters: Rising Stars / Elementary / Championship (Bronze)

Cost: $20

The session will cover the following modules:

- Solo & Couples Compulsory Dances from the Bronze (Solo Tests 1-3 / Couples Tests 1-2) Schedule or equivilent

- Specific training exercises to develop Timing, Patterning and Dance Skills

3 - Skater - Development - Artistic Group Skating

Day/Time: 11:00am - 12:00pm – Sunday 30th October 2022 - Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium

Skaters: Rising Stars / Elementary

Cost: $20

The session will cover the following modules:

- Development of Precision and Show Elements

4 - Skater - Advanced- Artistic Group Skating

Day/Time: 12:00pm - 1:00pm - Sunday 30th October 2022 - Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium

Skaters: Elementary / Championship

Cost: $20

The session will cover the following modules:

- Development of Precision and Show Elements

- Group Choreography incorportating Precision and Show Elements

Sunday All Day Passes will be available for $40

All day pass holders can utilise the Rink between 1:00-2:00pm whilst respecting any activities the Coaching group undertakes during this time.
