On behalf of Skate Australia Limited and Skate Western Australia, the Skate Australia Speed Technical Committee presents the 2023 Skate Australia Speed National Championships.
The 2023 Championships are open to skaters from all Skate Australia Limited affiliated State Associations as well as countries affiliated to World Skate. Approval letter from national federations for international skaters must accompany nominations.
The INDOOR FLAT TRACK competition venue Kingsway Indoor Stadium is in the northern suburb of Madeley in the City of Wanneroo at 130 Kingsway, Madeley, WA 6065. The Speed TC Meeting will also be held at this venue on Sunday 15 January 2023.
The ROAD competition venue is located at Drivers Risk Management near the Perth International Airport at 16 Grogan Road, Perth Airport, WA 6105. Circuit dimensions to be confirmed.
The BANKED TRACK competition will be held on Australia’s only current purpose built Banked Track for Speed Skating which is located at the Midvale Speeddome, Eddie Barron Drive, Middle Swan, WA 6056.
MARATHON venue has been confirmed as Splendid Park Criterium Track, " target="_blank">Splendid Avenue, Yanchep WA 6035.

SKATENSW SPEED STATE TEAM DECLARATION
Declaration portal for all Skaters wishing to represent the SkateNSW Speed State Team at the Skate Australia Speed National Championships.
In order to register and be considered for the State Team, Skaters must:
- be a Competitive Skate Australia Member (SkateNSW CAT1 Premium)*
- only enter events they are eligible to enter (Age/Standard)
- ONLINE FORM MUST BE COMPLETED BY TUESDAY 27TH DECEMBER 2022 ... Extended to 9PM SATURDAY 31ST DECEMBER 2022
Please select the number of Event Nomination Fees per event in order to calculate the total fee.
Nomination payment receipts are due Thursday 5th January 2023.
*** NOTE: Any nominations made without proof of payment by 9:00am FRIDAY 6TH JANUARY 2023 will not nominated as part of the NSW State Team

- Annual Update 2023 (formerly Level 2)
- Competition Manipulation and Sports Betting (formerly Introduction to Match-Fixing)
- Introduction to Illicit Drugs in Sport (recommended)

Local Sporting Champions Grant Program
Sport Australia has released a new grant scheme for junior athletes ages 12-18 to compensate for travel and accommodation when playing championship matches. $500 is available as a base award for successful applicants, and additional funds are available depending on your circumstances.
Applications for this program are now open, Round 3 closes on 31 December 2022, Round 4 opens on 1 January 2023.
