SkateNSW Speed - The Redline Games 2023

SkateNSW Speed are proud to be part of the Redline Games 2023!

Speed Skating events will be open to all Skate Australia Competitive Speed members (SkateNSW CAT 1).

There will also be a Participation event for other Skate Australia members (minimum Recreational / SkateNSW CAT 4) who can competently Skate forwards on Outdoor surfaces.

 

All participants (Skaters, Officials and Volunteers) must register online for this event.

Skaters and officials wishing to participate will need to ensure that they are current members, and are familar with the SkateNSW Speed 2023 Redline Games Notice, and well as all Rules, Regulations, Policies and Bylaws (including Sport Integrity) that relate to this event.

All attendees, including Volunteers and Spectators are subject to the Policies and Bylaws (including Sport Integrity) that relate to this event.

Please ensure you select your event type (Skater and Officials events are only visible to members that log in).

Speed Skaters

All skaters will need to ensure that they are Skate Australia Competitive Speed members (SkateNSW CAT 1) in order to compete.

  • SkateNSW members must select the Speed Skater (SkateNSW) pass
  • Other Skate Australia members must select the Speed Skater (Interstate Visitor) pass

All nominations will need to be made prior to the start of the event. Late nominations need to be approved by the event director.

Skaters that cannot be verified with the correct membership and registered for the event, will not be allowed to race.

All skaters need to compete in their club or approved uniforms.

All skaters will need to have their (allocated) race numbers, attached correctly to their (nominated) race uniform, which must be worn during all races they participate in during this event. Skaters are requied to marshal in with the Event Officials during the Warm Up period, with their Skates, Race uniform and Race Numbers with them. Skaters that arrive after the Warm Up period must wait for the Event Officials to be available to marshal in late.

Any skater without the correct Skates, Race Uniform and/or Race Numbers will not be permitted to race (subject to the discretion of the Event Referee where circumstances are unvoidable). The decision of the Event Referee will be final.

All skaters are responsible for organising their own Skates, Race Uniform and Race Numbers. As advertised, SkateNSW Speed arranged for some numbers to be made last year and available for purchase via the SkateNSW shop. To access the shop you will need to be logged in.

 

Participation Skaters

All skaters will need to ensure that they are Skate Australia members (minimum Recreational / SkateNSW CAT 4) who can competently Skate forwards on Outdoor surfaces in order to participate.

  • SkateNSW members must select the Participation Skater (SkateNSW) pass
  • Other Skate Australia members must select the Participation Skater (Interstate Visitor) pass

Skaters who are deemed not compent to participate on the track will be directed to participate in the SkateStars program.

All Skaters wil need to bring their own skaters, and ensure that they are in working condition and suitable for outdoor Skating.

All skaters should wear comfortable clothing for Outdoor Skate Exercise, including safety equipment (Helmet-manditory, Gloves, Wrist Guards, Elbow Pads, Knee Pads, etc - as you see fit for the activity).

Skaters without suitable Skates, Clothing or safety equipment will not be permitted to participate.

 

Officials

Approved Officials - please register your attendance at this event.

 

Volunteers

Must be members (minimum Associate (SkateNSW CAT 5) Member) - please register your attendance at this event.

 

Additional Event Information
The current Event program is available (see files to download). Note:

  • The second A grade points race that is listed for 1pm should read A / B / C grades 1 lap.
  • The 1 lap TT is a 1 lap TT followed by a 1 lap race (with the TT used for seedings).
  • Racing will be on even if it rains unless the course is deemed too dangerous in the wet.
