National Capital Roller Skating Club Artistic Coaching Accreditation 2016 - Development Level

The National Capital Roller Skating Club will host an Artistic Coaching Accreditation (Development Level) for Student Coaches.

Both theory and practical sessions will be held between 7:30am and 12:00pm (Midday) on Sunday 20th March 2016, and will be presented by Elite Level Coach, Esther Ambrus.

In addition, the Practical sessions will be available to invited Skate Stars students to further improve their skills and learn some new things.

All participants must register here in order to participate - see below for details.

 

Invited Skaters

Please register for one (or both sessions) as follows:

Skater - The Basics of Figure Skating

The session will be between 8:15am - 9:45am on Sunday 20th March 2016, and will cover the following modules:

- General Skills

- Edges

- Stroking

Skater - The Basics of Free Skating

The session will be between 10:00am - 11:30am on Sunday 20th March 2016, and will cover the following modules:

- Turns

- Hops & Jumps

- Spins

Each session costs $15.00 and can either be paid online (note transactions fees apply) or Cash on the day.

 

Student Coaches

Please register here (by Friday 18th March 2016), and pay the course fee prior to attending.

Cost:    $100.00 (includes Skate Australia administration and accreditation fees, compulsory texts, Sports Education registration fee and other course costs such as presenter costs, facility hire and equipment)

Note you will only be able to register for this course once you have joined SkateNSW and received your login details.

Pre-requisites

Student Coaches have been invited based on their known skating ability / coaching experience, but must meet the following pre-requisites:

  • All participants must be a minimum CAT 3 Development member of SkateNSW.
    • Assistant Coaches for SkateStars, SkateFit & other Recreational / Promotional events may join as CAT 4 Recreational members.
  • All participants are required to first complete a free online Community Coaching General Principles course (please choose SKATE as your Sport).
    • Please email through your certificate on completion
  • All participants are required to complete a Working With Children Check. You can Apply here.
    • Please email through your WWCC letter on completion.
