Skate NSW is pleased to invite you to our first ever in-house Rollart System Officials Training and Workshop next weekend (9th and 10th of February). This workshop is open to all skaters, parents, current and future judges, referees, calculators, and anyone else who may be interested in learning about what this system is, how it works, and what it means for the future of our sport. The implementation of Rollart is a monumental step forward for our sport, globally. It’s important to remember that we (as in the whole world of skating!) are all learning together. A handful of NSW Officials have spent the last year and a bit learning about the ins and outs of this system and now, it is their opportunity to pass all that knowledge onto everyone else in this state. It will be an invaluable learning experience for everyone and I can’t stress how important it is that as many people attend as possible. If you can’t make it, remember that this year will be all about learning, so officials who are knowledgeable in the areas of Rollart will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have throughout the year. We’re all in this together, so I hope to see you there.
ROLLART EDUCATION WEEKEND UPDATE: unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond SkateNSW's control, at this stage it is likely that the Data Operator Training will be postponed. There is also a strong possibility that the computers will not be available until after next weekend (but before the competition). We will still be running the workshop as there is still plenty of theory work that needs to be done, however we will strive to organise a time before the competition for judges who will be judging at the competition to practice with the software. We are NOT the only state in this situation. I want to remind everyone that this season of change is stressful for everybody and we are all doing our best to make things work. We appreciate your patience and support and I endeavour to keep everyone posted about any changes. Thank you.
