Please support former NSW Speed Skater, Richard Vitiello with a petition for the Nowra Velo Club, who are seeking funding to enable a prefabricated modular wheelchair compatible amenities building as part of the evolving Multi-sport Criterium Track Facility at the Berry Sport and Recreation Centre.

SkateNSW has formally provided an expression on interest in the project, as the facility could be greatly utilised for Speed Skating training and competition, from local to international level.

A purpose built facility would be ideal to develop both recreational skating as well as the Rollersports (Artistic Figure Skating, In-Line Hockey, Roller Derby and Speed Skating) to re-establish themselves in the region.
In addition to being a support base for future club, state, interstate, national and/or international training and events.

Recently SkateNSW has been in discussion with Sports Marketing Australia Pty Ltd regarding opportunities to bringing State and National events to regional NSW, such as the NSW Illawarra and South Coast.

We encourge the whole Skating Community in supporting this petition.

The equation is simple, the more signatures, the greater the opportunity to secure further funding.
