ROLLER DERBY AUSTRALIA FOR ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND PROJECT COORDINATORS

The Roller Derby Australia advisory Committee is seeking prospective committee members to
spearhead initiatives to promote and grow World Skate (formerly FIRS) in Australia and continue our
ongoing investment in other rule-sets such as WFTDA.

We are primarily seeking motivated individuals that can volunteer their time and expertise to facilitate the
development of interclub roller derby competitions using the World Skate Roller Derby rule-set. This will
ensure that there are enough members on the committee to grow involvement in this rule-set whilst
ensuring we don’t lose any focus on already established rule-sets.

The Roller Derby Australia advisory committee is a policy advisory group that assists Skate Australia
with the development of Roller Derby policy and practices. We are a group of early adopters of Skate
Australia initiatives to advance the sport of roller derby using the traditional federated model of sports
development leading towards Olympic inclusion of roller derby.

If you have experience with the following we would like to hear from you:
* The World Skate roller derby rule-set
* Committee procedures and corporate governance
* Event coordination and project management

Other desirable qualities:
* Open minded, flexible and solution oriented
* Ability to focus on long term goals
* Great written communication skills
